As you can see from the image above, originally Jennifer was working with a brown carpeted box, a single window, and not a lot of natural light. Quite challenging.
"The space itself is just big enough for my massive cal-king bed and two nightstands. The wall behind the bed was big, blank, bland and just begging for some attention. The designer in me immediately thought ACCENT WALL! It’s the first wall you see when you walk in the door to the bedroom and it’s the wall that anchors my gorgeous dark gray bedframe." - says Jennifer.
The neutral colors of this room works very well with the dark grey bed and the dark wood nightstands. To make the room brighter though, Jennifer has cleverly used white bed linen as well as light-colored aztec area rug and geometric removable wallpaper with a white base tone. The actual pattern of the wallpaper is black, yet the design is quite delicate and so doesn't cramp up the room.
Everything here seems to be just in the right place and in the right amount. This modern, sophisticated bedroom look is everlasting and the dash of geometry mixed with the aztec inspired prints of cushions and area rug meshes together into perfection! And the aroma from eucalyptus is just the thing you need for a good nights' sleep... Right?
