It's been a while since we've posted a dedicated room reveal and so today we would like to share with you a fellow #oneroomchallenger's entry - with our classic Stripy leaf wallpaper in a bright and cheerful playroom interior!
As it usually does happen in One Room Challenge [and any other interior design project] it all begins with a mood board. Stephanie [Oliveandtate.com] decided to go for a clean, bright and modern playroom with an art station, reading nook and lot's of storage for toys. The base colour palette is quite neutral with a little pops of colour here and there, mainly blue and light pink as it is a shared playroom for a brother and his little sister.
And just look at the final result! It is one of the first rooms you see when you walk in the house, and without a doubt Stephanie has achieved her 6 week One Room Challenge plan - to create a bright, fun and organized space for her little ones. It has all of the space needed to store their toys neatly and the white colour adds additional lightness to the room making it look even more spacious.
We especially love how the ghost chairs play with the wallpaper pattern and the decorative bohemian pillows, in the meantime not cramping up the room unnecessarily. The clean and simple white cabinets create a beautiful backdrop for the colorful toys thus not letting them looking messy or overcrowded. Brilliant!
As this space is going to be kid's hang out place later on as well, it will be very easy to adjust it as they grow. The base colour palette with beige, white and blue accents is also very timeless and will look beautiful even in a 10-years time.
