Is it possible to bring one's creative thoughts and visions to life as a bespoke wallpaper pattern? The answer is yes! And in this article we want to share more about the amazing recent collaboration with @studiohinterlandny on a project of creating a bespoke botanical removable wallpaper design from a gorgeous corral painting by artist Katie. Read further to learn more about the process and get inspired for your dream wallpaper design.
From Botanical Corral Painting To A Bespoke Wallpaper Design
From vision to reality! We were grateful to @studiohinterlandny for trusting us to bring their exclusive wallpaper design to life. In the photo above we can see how the finished bespoke botanical stripe wallpaper design adds a beautiful detail with an exotic touch. Nevertheless, with the stripe design becoming again more popular in the interior world recently, the botanical touch gives the stripe design a gorgeous nature inspired design and an original look. But how did this project start?

Is it possible to bring to life your created design or painting to a luxury removable wallpaper? Yes, and it will definitely give your interior design an unexpected original detail. But, how many paintings do you think it took to make the botanical wallpaper we saw above? The answer is 12. All of the paintings were made with gouache and watercolor on paper by the incredibly talented artist Katie @lightshapeshadowsform. The process began with a few of the paintings being brought into Photoshop and Katie working on the design. As the botanical stripe pattern progressed few more paintings were made to make sure that all of the gaps were filled in the design to create a nearly indistinguishable repeat. In the photo above we can see one of the original paintings by Katie that inspired the bespoke removable wallpaper design.

The next step was to work with Katie's signature strokes in a digital way to make sure that the original work by Katie is kept when preparing the design for production. After making sure that the removable wallpaper panels will give a perfect design repeat, it was time to look at the first samples to see how the fluttery, organic images of Katie are brought to life onto removable wallpaper material.
Once the botanical stripe design was confirmed for the wallpaper production it was time for printing the necessary amount of panels in the chosen panel sizes. In the photo above we can see a glimpse of the wallpaper printing process.

After receiving the bespoke wallpaper design panels, it was time to install the waited wallpaper panels for the first time. The botanical stripe removable wallpaper was made on traditional wallpaper material and in the photo above we can see a glimpse of the installation process of the bespoke wallpaper design.

Finished look. Two scales for the bespoke botanical design stripe wallpaper were produced and in the photo above we can see how the final look of the two scale removable wallpaper designs almost give another dimension to the interior design with the design wallpaper.
What started as an original, beautiful idea and painting turned to a handful of removable wallpaper samples and in the end into a show-stopping debut at last year’s @kingston.design.connection Showhouse. If the design has grabbed your interest, the Botanical Stripe Wallpaper is available in a broad and pin stripe format through @studiohinterlandny. In the video below we can see more about the whole process from the idea and the original botanical paintings by Katie, to the production and the finished interior look.
