One Room Challenge - Week 6 | The reveal!

Boho chic home office reveal, One Room Challenge 2018
You guys, this week is finally here! Although the weather here this last couple of weeks has been horrible for picture taking, I have tried to capture the best bits of my brand new home office interior. Scroll through this post for a boho chic home office reveal of One Room Challenge 2018!
Felt pinboards in scandi boho office interior
As initially I was looking for a clean and simple look with hints of gold (or brass), boho chic seemed like the perfect design style for this project. As it always is, it all started with a mood board and as this is a major part of my day to day work, I needed to create an actual vision board that I would be able to use. This was a rather simple DIY with some felt, wooden picture frames & double-sided scotch tape. Brilliantly simple do-it-yourself project that looks flawless!

The vision board is located right in front of my eyes and for a good reason. I have found that if you set your goals and see them on a daily basis, they somehow happen to come true much more quickly as you subconsciously tend to work towards them, because of that very same reason - they are right in front of you. Has anyone else tried this?
Boho reading corner with fringe blanket, throw pillows and greenery
Reading corner is a must for me. This rattan chair is amazing thrift store find and is very comfortable and large enough to snuggle up in it with a good book and a cup of coffee. Of course it also serves as a seat for guests which I think is another must in an office interior. It is purposefully designed to be a fun space with a whimsical pillow and calming greenery to catch a breath between the everyday to-dos.

Minimalist desk styling
As for my own workspace, I like to keep it as clean and simple as possible. I cannot stand to work in a cramped or messy environment as it creates the illusion of chaos and actually decreases my productivity. Therefore I have on the desk only the most important things for my everyday work. My computer, phone, to do list and a cup of coffee. With exceptional floral arrangements to brighten up the day and business cards, just in case. Keep it simple!

I am absolutely in love with my new office, but mostly the fact that I had finally put time aside for my needs only. Every detail and design element of this interior has been thought through for a creative work day. For example, the velvet ottoman comes in very handy at the end of a long day when I have sat at the desk all day having no time to lounge on the rattan chair. The sheepskin makes the office feel more like home while adding modern touch as a layered rug. Oh, and the floral arrangement of choice for this season is pampas grass. It is an everlasting floral and is very much in style right now, don't you think?

However I must admit that this feature wall must be my favourite spot of the office. The Grey Peony removable wallpaper from our Modern Boho collection adds just the perfect feminine touch to the whole room and somehow makes it look even brighter than it is! Or is it just that I am so in love with it? Who knows.
The white Besta cabinet on this wall and the grey Ivar cabinet from IKEA stores all of the documents and other office knick knacks, hiding them from the sight and making the room very clean and put together. May I add that the Pretty Pegs furniture legs and Zara knobs bring these cabinets to the next level? The gold details contrast wonderfully with the grey color found in the room popping beautifully.

It is so satisfying to see the results of work I've put in these past six weeks to get this room together and really reflect myself and my vision of a calming and inspiring home office interior! And a little bit relieving that the job is now finished and can be ticked off from the to-do list, as I'm sure many of my fellow One Room Challenge participants feel right now!
